I just haven't been able to find any good knowledge about a realistic time frame or good way to get into the 5 minute mile range. Currently I put in around 40-60 miles per weeks but I just started to get this high during my current marathon training. I have put in a 21 minute 5k, 45 minute 10k, and a 1:45 half marathon during this training cycle.
