You just need to keep on winning battles. Get yourself a core of elite soldiers and fight against bigger armies so that you're getting 20-30 renown per battle and it starts to add up pretty quickly. I don't remember if Perisno has the option to set how many reinforcement waves there are for each battle, but if it does, you can sort of cheese it Hunt deers/goats and sell their fur and meat for easy and low input start. Also take every quest you can find that is one of the caravan ambushes, deserter fights, or bandit camp missions (my preference, but completing any quest gets you renown). A late game player character who has won a lot of big battles will typically have renown of at least 2000 or higher.
