Level 80 is the point where GW2 really opens up. You can basically go anywhere and do anything at that point. There's very little you have to do to progress and most of what is there is area specific (like getting agony resistance for higher tier Fractals, or training masteries to move around the expansions more easily) so what you focus on is
The only reason you'd want a 80 right of thr bat is for raids or wvw. You should atleast lvl 1 character from 1 to 80 to learn the game mechanics, get to know the maps, story, dodging, your skills. If you skip all of that you'll have no idea about the basics of this game. So what i recommend, dont use the 80 boost on your first character.
Guild Wars 2 Discussion. Increasing level cap. So I was wondering if we should increase the lvl cap to 100 with the next expansion. In my opinion always being lvl 80 is very boring and having to level up again at 80 can be fun I think (in form of elite zones e.g).Also armor should either be adjusted or newly crafted.
this is only the beginning; there are fractals, strikes and raids. Dungeons to crawl, achievements with nice skins, ascended gear to unlock. From lvl 80 on you'll get to the sexy maps with nice events and meta's and generally appealing appereance. You can start working on legendary weapons. There's so much to do.
